The Fall
She walked to the edge and threw her arms open to the sun. The long, flowing grass brushed gently against her legs, and her hair billowed at her back in time with the wind. She took deep breaths of the sweetness in the air, letting it fill her lungs. When she lay down on the grass, it was like she was laying on the softest of beds.
She was at peace.
Then the night slowly took over.
The suns warmth was replaced by the moons chill, and the once gentle breeze turned into a bitter wind that tore at her hair and clothing. She drew her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around herself, but nothing could block out the feeling
